***UPDATE***
The project is well under way and I have a few things to say to you all.
Firstly, massive thanks to anyone who has contributed so far by pre-ordering their e.p.
I really can't wait to get the finished product and send to those concerned. You really do not realise how humbled I am at the generosity which is allowing me to put this together. It really is a shared venture.
Over the last couple of weeks I have been on location filming for the video for Human Sacrifice, gigging in a beach hut down at The Albert Dock with Pure Joy, Bido Lito and News from Neptune, rehearsing with the band, filming and recording a live take with the band in SAE college, a project set up by Adam Lowe and Mike Mooney the lads who work there, and having some brilliant conversations with my graphic designer who is working on my logo's and some new website format. Her name is Lacey Liang and I am completely bowled over by her genius ideas and creativity. She gets the concept I am trying to explain for the e.p and what I want to get across as David Barnicle and The Mystery Force. Please visit her site and look at her work, especially the 'Entangled' exhibition where she has explored sacred geometry in the digital world. When I saw this work I knew she was the one who could put my ideas into digital form.
If you haven't pre-ordered the e.p but you have even a slight interest in me, the music, the mystery force, or just music and art generally then I would encourage you to do so because you will be more than rewarded! The e.p will have artwork by my good pal Shaun who again understands the concepts involved and is a brilliant artist. I have seen pictures of how he is decorating his living quarters and it is truly phenomenal! Again I knew he was the one to do something for the cd front cover. So, in exchange for something as little as £5 you will get to see all this artwork by local, independent artists, and of course the music. You will be helping us all get this project realised.
Thank you all for listening, I will update you again soon.
In the meantime, here's a rendition of an old favourite 'Trawlerman' at my Open mic night at The Brink in Liverpool.
